Zazie Olivia beetz was born on January 1st, 2001 in Berlin. Her father is a German cabinet maker, who immigrated to America in the year 1990. United States in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South African American social worker in New York. Jennifer Aniston is also a former student of the same high school. Beetz, who graduated from LaGuardia in 2007, went to Skidmore College and studied French. The auditions began immediately following graduating college. After a few auditions in Atlanta, she landed the part of Van. Beetz, whose parents were the son of a German dad and an African American mother from Berlin and was born within New York and spoke German and English. Zazie was appearing on community and local stages during her childhood. As a teenager she started acting, and went on to become a professional actress. In 2010, the dancer and actress got her first break-out role when she was cast in the role of Rocky Blue in the show "Shake It Up" with her co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya became a vegetarian at the age of 11 after she came across a slaughterhouse during an excursion with her dad. PEOPLE have quoted her as saying: "It seemed awful to me, seeing all of those animals being crammed in the slaughterhouse waiting to die their final deaths. This was not how I would eat my food! Since then, she's adhered to a plant-based diet.
